Chocolate Chip Cookie

Hello adventure’s and welcome back to another post. I believe when it comes to cookies nothing is better than a warm chocolate chip cookie, fresh from the oven. These chocolate chip cookies are the best I have ever made and had ever eaten. If you like cookies with a crunchy exterior and a gooey interior these are the perfect cookies for you. My Dad found this recipe on Modern Honey, and I am very glad he found this amazing recipe. Now I have to admit there are some odd ingredients and steps in this recipe but trust me it makes these cookies perfect. Now onto the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Cold Butter cut into small cubs (Trust me)
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups All Purpose Flour (You can also use half cake flour and half all purpose flour)
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Chocolate chips
  • 2 cups Walnuts roughly chopped (Optional)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 410 degrees

In a large mixing bowl, cream together cold cubed butter, brown sugar, and sugar for 4 minutes or until creamy.

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one.

Stir in flour or flours, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined to avoid overtaxing. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.

I use my 1/4 cup cookie scoop to scoop the dough onto a tray lined with parchment paper. I usually put 4 to 5 cookies per tray because of how large these cookies are.

Bake for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown on the top. Let them rest for at least 10 minutes to set before moving to a wire rack or consuming.

I do not use vanilla in this cookie recipe but if you want to add vanilla add 1 teaspoon when your adding the eggs to the dough.

Comment down below any other cookie recipes you would like to see in a future post. Until the next adventure,

Love, Payton
