My Top 5 Favorite Christmas Movies

Welcome back adventures, as I have said before watching movies is a big family thing in my household. I can think of no better way to spend a chilly night than watching a Christmas movie with a hot cup of coffee, and the blankets piled high. These are some of my favorite holiday movies that always get me into the holiday spirit. So grab your family, some popcorn and a hot beverage and let the Christmas spirits soar.

1. A Christmas Story

This is a Christmas comedy about a young boy named Raphie, who is trying convince his parents, teacher and Santa that a Red Rider BB gun is the perfect Christmas gift. This is one the classics, this movie always makes me laugh and puts me in the holiday spirit. Would recommend to anyone and everyone I know.

2. The Santa Clause Trilogy

These three movies are some of my favorites for the Christmas season. All three of these movies are a comedy about a man named Scott Calvin and his adventures as Santa Clause. The family favorite of these three wonderful moves is Santa Clause 2. I would recommend these movies for all ages.

3. The Grinch

This is an animated movie about how a grumpy Grinch plans to ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville. Now I am partial to the animated version of this film but the live action is also good. This is a funny and cute take on the original movie. This movie never fails to bring a smile to my face and I would recommend for all ages.

4. Home Alone and Home Alone 2

These are probably the only Christmas movies that I never get tired of. These movies are about young Kevin McCallister and how he took down a pair of burglars twice. First he was protecting his home from getting robbed and then he was protecting a toy store in New York from the same fate. This is a perfect movie for a family movie night or to watch by yourself.

5. The Polar Express

This movie brings back so many wonderful childhood memories. This movie is about a group of kids who travel to the North Pole on Christmas Eve on the Polar Express, learning about friendship, bravery and the spirit of Christmas on the way. Every year my family and I watch this movie with a hot cup of homemade cocoa. This is a movie perfect and entertaining for all ages.
